Grants
Help
The Homeless's main funding remit is the regular allocation of Small
Grants (generally up to £3000) for capital costs to small and
medium-sized charities only (those with a turnover of up to £1m
per annum). Grants to larger charities will only be considered if the
project is suitably innovative and it is only possible for a large organisation
to develop it.
All
applications must relate to projects that assist individuals in their
return to mainstream society, rather than simply offer shelter or other
forms of sustenance.
All
applicants must use the official form (downloadable from this page)
and clearly describe the aims and structure of their organisation, their
future plans and specific details of how any grant money will be spent.
A copy of the latest available audited accounts is also required.
Examples
of recent grants made can be seen here.
If
your application relates to computer equipment, please first visit the
advice section on the Advice + Links page.
The
quarterly deadlines for grant applications each year are: 31st March
/ 30th June / 30th September /31st December. There should be a minimum
period of two years between the receipt of a grant and a further application.
